Thermal Relays are electrical components that typically consist of a thermal
coil and one or more sets of contacts. Normally, a lower current is applied to
the thermal coil, closing (turning off) a higher voltage/current circuit through
the contacts. The main component of a Magnetic Starter is a relay, which is controlled by
a set of momentary contacts in the form of a control station (Start/Stop). A contactor will
often be fitted with auxiliary relay contacts as well. These auxiliary contacts, available in
both, Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) can also be used to control other equipment
such as mixtures, lights, washing machines, etc.
Relay Ranges : 1.5 AMP to 40 AMP |
